JESUS CHRIST AS OUR SAVIOUR IS THE GRACE:
For the law was given through Moses; grace and the true way of life are ours through Jesus Christ (Jh1:17).
The truth is on the side of grace, not on the side of command. That is why Jesus said to the Jew, who were grown together with the command since birth: “And you will have knowledge of what is true, and that will make you free!” (Jh8:32).
If a Christian turns to Jesus with the whole heart, then the shield of command will be taken away from the heart (2Ko3:16) and he will start to feel the truth, which makes free. He will start to see that all his sins (yesterday’s, today’s and tomorrow’s) are taken by Jesus on Calvary and God does not see him anymore as sinful, but right (Ro4:25). Now, he may experience a completely new power in his life, the power of the Holy Spirit, which keeps him from falling into the sins: “For sin may not have rule over you: because you are not under law, but under grace” (Ro6:14).
A life conscious of sin will be replaced by triumphant life aware of justice: “… much more will those to whom has come the wealth of grace and the giving of righteousness, be ruling in life through the one, even Jesus Christ” (Ro5:17).
And if he is wrong now and sinful, then “we have a friend and helper with the Father, Jesus Christ, the upright one” (1J2:1).
The Devil’s tactics is to make you see yourself and your sins. If you see your indecency all the time, keep confessing the sin and fix your mind, he has got you in his clasp. But as soon as you know you are right in the eyes of God, he has lost. And this rightness is not our own righteousness (because the devil wants to make you look), but this righteousness is a gift to us, regardless of our acts (not matter how wrong they have been): “And they may have righteousness put to their credit, freely, by his grace, through the salvation which is in Christ Jesus” (Ro3:24).
1 Ti4:1-2: “ But the Spirit says clearly that in later times some will be turned away from the faith, giving their minds to spirits of deceit, and the teachings of evil spirits,Through the false ways of men whose words are untrue, whose hearts are BURNED as with a heated iron …”. Burned is KAUTERIAZO in Greek and the meaning for this word is: WHO WEAR A PERMANEN CONSCIOUSNESS OF SIN WITH THEM.
THE REVELATION OF JESUS’ FINISHED WORK IN CALVARY, WITH THE RESULT THAT YOU ARE EXCULPATED, BRINGS ALONG A FULL INNER HEALING AND THEN THE EXPERIENCE OF ABRAHAM’S BLESSINGS.
THIS IS GRACE: A GOD’S AUSPICES COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT FROM ME. GRACE IS GOD’S BEST GIFT TO THE WORST NATURE OF HUMAN: “BUT WHERE THE WAS MUCH SIN, THERE WAS MUCH MORE GRACE” (Ro5:20).
What does it then mean to “turn to Jesus with all of your heart”? This is the penitence: before I lived under command (looked for my own righteousness by looking on my own flaws and by penitencing and confessing sins), but now I raise my eyes of Jesus Christ. Just as Peter said to Jews living under command on Pentecost: “Repent (this means turn to Jesus Christ) and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ…” (Acts 2:38).
Ro10:13 “Everyone (also a Christian) who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (under the shield of command to freedom of God’s Grace)
PRAYER Jesus, I call for your help right now! Until now I have lived the life of loss, but now I pray that You would help me to the life of victory. I want to turn to You with all of my heart. Please take the shield of command away from my heart. I want to look at Your glory as I was looking into the mirror without a covered face and become like You from honor to honor through the Holy Spirit. I thank You, Lord Savior, that this face is your liking and that You are answering it. I pray for it on Your dear name, Amen.
